great nice dinner
the countdown begins. just over 2 weeks more!
and THINK of a new name!
the nasty thing about posting on this blog is that we dont get notified. i tried to search for a setting that would allow this, but i couldnt find. email is so INSTANTANEOUS! to prove my point, lets see how long it takes before you to figure out i made this post. TAG AS SOON AS YOU SEE THIS. (but then again i might have already given you guys slight hints that im going to post. i mentioned something on the blog to weilin on the phone just now. and i told debbie that we should get a new address to detail life in the usa. so your consciousness might have been tipped off, leading to a higher than usual occurrence in checking the blog.
getting on with business…
i was doing this data entry job at south west CDC. tedious, laborious.. ARGH. anyway i was keying in data from like job seekers. their profiles and education level blhablha. AHHH. i felt so.. scared. really. the expected pay… averaged about 1500. there was one asking for 700-900. OMG OMG OMG. so scary. some were fresh graduates too! like from ntu and poly.. so study hard! and hopefully the job offers come ROLLING IN. weilin, you’re stuck in the ministry so this doesnt apply to you. but all these ministry stuff isnt for me. watching the ppl do their job there.. its about.. oh the client just called and said he attended thie course blhablah. their job is to help ppl find jobs.. review their background, send them for courses… i dont know. i dont feel… excited after hearing about what they do. hahahah. so i dont think im a… make the community a better place kinda person. NOT THAT i dont wish for the world to be a better place. but i think the job i will be more suited for would be the kind.. in the private sector.
all the factors in our life seem to groom us for success. right? the environment and everything. so strange how we all end up in top jcs. same with our sblings. but my friend told me, she has this senior, who has a non-identical twin. one went hcjc, one went ite. i dont know. how is it that we’re all just… of decent intellect..
oh btw. netball. the league i mentioned to you all when we were in newzealand. i was in the second team. which is quite cool. we play in the top division. MRS LEE IS MY TEAMMATE. but hahahah we lost 4 games, and had a walk over for 1. hahah. but it was a really good experience
game one and game 4 were great. i got praised. HAPPY. hahaha.
im eating m&m’s now.
i need to do the visa stuff. but i dont have white paper.
my room is so messy. but everything seems to have nowhere else to go!
inspired by tessa, i made a few potteryish pieces. small ones. show you guys soon. hahaha.
i wanna earn enough money so that i can build my own house. i told vic to be a famous architect so i can use her. i hope she gives me discount though.
weilin when are you working till?
(off to pack the room)
hello friends, i was just reading through this thing and it brought back so many nice memories. exams feel like AGES ago! but reading through the posts i was brought right back to the start of them. *shudder* anyhow, we must keep this thing alive ok. minnesota, ny and boston. oh boy oh boy. the start of another adventure…
i just registered for my first course today. well, you pick your top 4 choices. but yes. i picked my top 4 choices. it’s coming so quickly! 3 months..
anyway i am here because it is 3.20pm and it is such a lazy day and i spent the entire morning and early afternoon doing up my chord sheets for worship at camp and i am finally done. and i have to leave the house soon to go to chinatown. i almost forgot weilin was in thailand. hi lino i hope you’re doing fine!
TINGG when are we gonna meet those two rafflesticks?
i’m sleepy. hahaha. goodbye, friends, until we met again.
I HAVE AN INTERVIEW WITH MOE TMR! omg i almost forgot. except my mother just came in to ask what time it was. and i don’t know what time it is cos they are only telling me the time today but they haven’t yet. they have two more hours till their office hours end! eeyer so annoying.
dang for a moment there i’d forgotten about all this scholarship stuff rawr. i don’t think i wanna take one, even if i get one, which i doubt i will. which is what i told my parents from the start but right at the last moment, as always, they insisted on me applying, so i did. i guess there isn’t any harm.. but so sian to go for all these interviews. well, 3 down, last one to go tomorrow. can’t wait for it to be over.
i’m HUNGRY! tingggggg i want mandy’s mom’s sushiiiiii. see i spelt it as mOm. which i never do. i must start to americanize myself! zzzzzz.
oh by the way, the title is exploding barns because in one post or comment or something a while back i posed a hypothetical scenario of us being kidnapped and trapped in a barn and it got stuck in weilin’s head. but we survived! and we saw the site of the exploding barn in WOLVERINE except the barn was gone so we couldn’t see it explode but, you know. IMAGINATION. barney is a dinosaur..
